Lately my thoughts have centered on several aspects of the Lord and my relationship with Him. DV, I will write on these later, but for now I'd just like to say that when we come to the end of ourselves we come to a glorious place, for we come to Him.

I agree; humility is such an important part of our lives. True humility is knowing who you are; a sinner, fallen, yet forgiven, loved, and free. I enjoy the confidence that comes from knowing that I have a really good Redeemer. Not only am I forgiven from my sins, but I am being grown by a Master Gardener. And furthermore, I don’t have to wander through life, scared of tomorrow. Hebrews says that our Lord Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. And that fills me with such confidence, all we really can have is humility. Philippians chapter 2 contains one of my favorite passages about our attitudes, “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.” I need to read that over and over and over again. And that passage is what helps me understand humility.
